Hey All!
OK, It’s been a busy month! I had a great time Turkey hunting and filming with my good friend Trevon Stoltzfus. We hunted hard as the birds were henned up bad. The weather was completely unpredictable, but Trevon managed to get a real nice bird killed while I captured it on film. We hunted with Craig Hueter of Trophies West Outfitting Co. who I guide for and Jerry and Ashley McPherson of Montana Decoy, who I just brought on board as a new sponsor. Montana Decoy makes the best decoy design on the market for the western bowhunter as they are light, portable and super realistic. I’m really excited about my involvement with them, as they are great people! Look for some exciting new toys coming to an arena near you as well! Jim Brennan who works with Montana Decoy and is the Northwest regional pro staff director for Mossy Oak also joined us. Jim is a great guy and we will be hunting a bunch together and filming this fall. You can check out Jim at downwindhunter.com. I did manage to kill a bird with my bow on opening day on film, in case you were wondering! We’ll be putting the footage together and online soon…I had the opportunity to go to Great Falls, Montana and work the Dusty Gliko Challenge bullriding for my good friends Phillip and Sara Hofer, and their new association, Elite Pro Bullriders. It was a good event and let me tell you the Hofer Bucking Bulls are awesome! If you were at the Built Ford Tough event in Billings you saw Zack Brown ride some Hofer bucking bulls on his way to win the event. Next I head to Lexington, Kentucky for a PBR with the Lazy E. These events are fantastic and I really enjoy working with the folks from Lazy E Productions. From there I’ll be in sunny southern California for a PRCA rodeo and on the road all summer. I’m settled into my new house now and loving being a homeowner, except for all the work that comes with it! Rocketryanoutdoors.com will be up soon so if your looking at booking a western hunt give me a holler. I hope everyone is ready for summer and keep the emails coming!
