Sorry it has taken so long to update my website. I have finished porting my site over to Wordpress so that I can update my blog more frequently and hopefully keep folks up to speed with what Im doing out there on the road! Thanks to my good friend Chad Bradt for all the help with that! Well 2010 has already started with a bang. I did a PBR in Saginaw Michigan for Jerry Nelson and the Bad Boys crew in February. We nearly sold out the place on Saturday night and Terry Starnes, Richard Jones and I put on a hell of a show if I do say so myself. I was also able to visit my friend Jason Brown owner of Rack Focus Outdoor Multimedia while in Michigan. Jason and his crew produce some of the Outdoor TV shows on the Sportsman Channel and are some of the most creative guys in our industry. It was great to spend some time with him, talk about some future projects…hint hint…and really see his guys in action! One of the shows Jason produces is a hit new series called Pigman, The Series. Brian “Pigman” Quaca and his director of marketing, Keith Rand, invited myself and Kyle Wieter, host of Lone Wolf’s Adrenaline Junkies (and my good friend) down to Old Mexico to chase Javelinas and Deer at the end of February. Since this hunt will appear on Kyle’s and Pigman’s shows as well as on our Outback Outdoors webisodes, I wont spoil it for you….but I will say we had a blast!!! Well Im off to Texas for another Jerry Nelson PBR in a couple weeks. I have some business to take care of at home but drop me a line….I’ll try to keep blogging as often as I can.
Well, as I sit here typing this update, I am thinking about what I need to pack for Vegas. We leave in the morning for the NFR and Convention and as always it will be good to see everyone, make new contacts and hopefully sign a bunch of contracts for 2010! My fall, as usual, was crazy busy. On the Rodeo front I traveled to Casper, WY and worked the Tribute to Chris LeDoux PRCA Rodeo for Donna Vold Larsen and the Triple V Rodeo Company. What a great rodeo this was. Steve Kenyon announced and Scot Allerdings and NFR Bullfighter Dusty Tuckness worked protection. With an art show the night before and a concert after the performance a good time was had by all. The next weekend I flew to New Orleans to work a PBR for James Pierce and the Bad Boys crew. Chris Rankin announcing, Richard Jones mixing sound and Blue Jeanes and Thomas Alleman fighting bulls-it doesn’t get too much better! I had fun, ate some Jambalaya and saw a neat part of our country. Now fall for me is always busy guiding, hunting and running camera. This one was no different. I actually had to overnight from these rodeos to get back to hunting camp and it about wore me out. In short I missed a bull with my bow on video for our current webisode at www.outbackoutdoors.net, guided three weeks of archery elk hunters, videoed an elk hunt in Idaho with UFC Superstar Dan Henderson, got skunked in South Dakota bowhunting whitetails, missed another bull in Montana with my rifle on public land, guided three weeks of rifle mule deer hunters, and hunted with my Dad in Montana and South Dakota. If you want details check out the webisodes! I’m off to Vegas then it’s on to North Dakota for a late season archery hunt. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and has a nice Christmas. Look for my 2010 schedule soon and some exciting new things for Rocket Ryan as well as Outback Outdoors in 2010!

Well I am sitting at the home of my announcer friend Matt West in Oklahoma as I write this, and its 100 degrees! Im glad to be headed north this week. I came down here to the world famous Mesquite Championship Rodeo in Texas three weeks ago. Stace Smith nows owns and operates Mesquite and let me tell you it is a great rodeo! A true production, which Smith Pro Rodeos are known for… Rorey Lemell runs a great rodeo. I had a good time while I was there except for a little hiccup when my truck got broken into at lunch and alot of stuff was stolen! From Mesquite I had some down time and I went to Weatherford and spent the week with an old friend and her family. Bree Worthington, now Clay, is a trick rider I met almost ten years ago and we have remained friends ever since. I spent the week out at her parents ranch and had a great time. I also got to meet her husband Nathan and Son Dillon! I left Weatherford and headed to Guthrie, OK for a Lazy E PBR. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Robert Simpson and Lazy E produce the best PBR events in the country and I love being a part of them. Matt Baldwin, Jesse Byrne and Steve Wangler fought bulls, Richard Jones ran sound and Charlie Throckmorton and Brandon Bates did the announcing. It was great to see all those guys and I actually played golf for two days with Brandon, Richard and Robert. I left Guthrie and headed back to Weatherford for a couple days to get the trailer and then I returned to Mesquite for two more performances. They went smooth, Randy Schmutz did the announcing chores and I had some more fun. I am now headed north for the last leg of my summer road trip in the Dakota’s. I hope everyone is having a great summer!

Hi There! I am right in the heat of the summer rodeo season and I have stopped home for a week. It is actually my last week at home until September! I worked the Thermopolis, Wyoming PRCA Rodeo for Donna Vold Larsen. I had a good time; Triple V puts on a great show. Tim Fuller announced that rodeo and on Sunday we decided to go whitewater rafting. Now the Wind River is at its highest point since 1995 and we are talking class 4 rapids! It was wild; we had a great time and would like to thank Cody and the crew at Wind River Canyon Whitewater (www.windrivercanyonraft.com) for an intense experience! I also got to meet the great actor Wilford Brimley during our parade there, what a great guy! From there I went to Mobridge, South Dakota for the Fourth of July. The Fourth of July weekend is known as Cowboy Christmas in the rodeo world and is always a great time to be at a rodeo seeing friends. Despite a rainy and wet Friday performance it went really well and I got to work with my friend and the voice of Outback Outdoors Davie Kimm (www.daviekimm.com) I even got in the barrel and got knocked around when they turned out a fighting bull to sell the final perf. Now I have to get our Manitoba Bear footage edited for the next Webisode at www.outbackoutdoors.net then I’m off to Texas and Oklahoma for three weeks!
Stay safe…
